Welcome to the 21st Century!

Well now, here we go! We are half-way through the year 2020, nearly two DECADES into the 21st century, and I am just now writing my first ever blog! I’ve never been sure of the purpose of blogging. It seems that most of the blogs I’ve read are opinionated pieces that echo what has already been said multiple times. Granted, my blog reading is very limited, and I am quite sure there are many great blog sites in existence. So, perhaps a better question for me to answer is what would be the purpose of me blogging.

To be honest, I’m not quite sure just yet. Presently it seems like another possible effective means by which to communicate the word of God, and if I hold true to the challenge I have laid before the people of FRBC, then it will not be an opinionated piece. (The challenge is for 6 months that we only speak the truth of God based on His word and that we do not get wrapped up in our own opinions regarding current events.)

Paul said in 1 Cor. 9:22-23, “...I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.” So here I am joining the ranks of bloggers, endeavoring to clearly communicate God’s truth in yet another medium that others may perhaps glean wisdom, direction, and encouragement and that I, like Paul, may share in the blessings of the gospel.

I’m not so sure how this writing experiment will go, but here we go nonetheless! I’d like you to partner with me on this.
