Discussion questions -

1. What does it mean to be created in the image of God? (Gen. 1:26-28)

2. Colossians 1:17 and Hebrews 1:3 both say that Jesus holds everything together by His power. As a family, discuss what that means and how that should impact the way we live.

3. I Corinthians 10:31 and Colossians 3:17 both say that everything we do and say is to glorify God. Discuss how that applies in your life.

For homework this week: Read I Corinthians 13: 4-8 as it is written. Read I Corinthians 13:4-8 again, but this time everywhere that is says "Love" substitute is with Jesus. Then read I Corinthians: 4-8 a third time. The third time you read it, everywhere that you see "Love", replace it with your name. Cross reference this with Romans 12:9, which was in last week's sermon.

Happy Palm Sunday!

"Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" Matthew 21:9

Today marks Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. We will look at Matthew 21: 1-11 today. This is only one of the places in the Bible that tells this story. There are no discussion questions today, but your homework is to read Matthew 21: 1-11 as many times as you can. Also, look for cross references in the Old Testament in which Jesus is fulfilling the prophecy, making himself known, and validating that he is the Messiah.

Sermon March 22, 2020—“The Great Commission” Matthew 28:18-20

Questions for discussion and reflection.

1) In Matthew 28 :17, some of the people saw the resurrected Jesus and still doubted. Knowing what you know about Jesus: Do you still have doubts? What are your doubts? Why do you have those doubts?

2) What are some other passages in the New Testament that speak about Jesus’ authority?

3) “Make Disciples”—What does it mean to you to make disciples? What would it look like in your life to make disciples?

4) “I am always with you”—Knowing this promise from Jesus, how does this help you face the day? Face your doubts? and Face the task of making disciples?
